Phantoms Stick Sabercats with 4-3 Loss
|
The Coronado Phantoms topped the Mdewanketon Sabercats, 4-3, in Kade Stenson League action at Mystic Lake Stadium. The player of the game was Coronado pitcher and an-Najaf, Iraq native Salah bin Atif. The save was credited to Zong-yuan Sang, his 3rd. With the win, Coronado has a record of 73-74. Mdewanketon falls to 67-80.
San-pao Chio struck a blow for the Phantoms in the top of the first when he hit a 2-run home run. It put his team ahead, 2-0. For the game, Chio was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Mdewanketon manager Jerry Russell.
