Big Day by Boyer Ignites Arsenal Win
With catcher Ken Boyer leading the charge, the South Bay Arsenal defeated the Des Moines Spartans, 17-5, at Cruz Bay Park. Boyer, who is tied for 7th in the KSL in home runs with 29, was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Arturo Vega, the winner, improved to 12-4. He held the Spartans to 1 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Arsenal improve their record to 77-67 with the win over Des Moines.

Camden Mansel contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that propelled South Bay to the win.
