Flash Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Horseman
The Fairfield Flash eked out a 5-4 win versus the Amarillo Horseman at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Kichibei Ozawa, who captured player of the game honors. James Logan earned his 16th save in 19 chances. Fairfield improves to 85-57 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.

In the bottom of the 8th, pinch hitter Jorge Ramírez gave Fairfield the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Flash had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out double off Amarillo pitcher Jackson Thompson changed that -- and Fairfield went on to win.

Ozawa said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
