Arsenal Win in Glorious Fashion
The Albuquerque Cacti and South Bay Arsenal provided some drama at Cruz Bay Park.

The South Bay Arsenal eked out a 7-6 win versus the Albuquerque Cacti at Cruz Bay Park. Nobody did more than third baseman José Pona, who captured player of the game honors. South Bay is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Arsenal beat the Cacti in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Bhasin Maqbool produced in the bottom of the 12th. Batting against Albuquerque pitcher Shunji Kurota, Maqbool gave his team a 7-6 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

In postgame comments to the South Bay Bulletin, Pona said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
