Marauders Continue Skid Thanks to Henderson, Armada
|
The Quebec Armada beat the Maple Marauders, 10-7, at Legends Park. The Armada got a fine performance from center fielder Jeffrey Henderson, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Reliever Baldassario Ardinghi picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Claude Howard took the loss. Pin-zhen Au closed the door for Quebec, picking up his 8th save of the year.
Henderson had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run single. The Armada went on to win.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Henderson. "But I like how we're playing right now."
Quebec goes to 15-7 with the win.
