Cats Take 10-0 Pounding
|
Acapulco played host to Fort Worth at the friendly confines of Underdogs Ballpark.
Left-hander Nobukazu Nakamura mesmerized the Fort Worth Cats while leading the Acapulco Banditos to a 10-0 victory. The winning pitcher was Nakamura, now 2-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5.
In the bottom of the first, James Rice muscled up and hit a 2-run home run. It put Acapulco ahead, 2-0. For the game, Rice went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
"The Banditos definitely had our number," said Fort Worth manager José Parra.
The Banditos, at 64-70, sit in 4th place in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.
