Riding the 2-hit performance of the 36-year old left fielder Mark Thomas, the Portland Beavers stopped the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 9-2. Clayton O'Neil was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The win takes Portland to 10-10.
Thomas came through for Portland with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second. He hit a full count fastball to left field, staking his team to a 4-0 lead.
