Mustangs Go Down to Defeat, 4-2
|
Kansas City turned a good effort from starter Ramón Vázquez into a win over the Mile High Mustangs at Debris Field. The final score was 4-2. The Mustangs, at 6-14, have stumbled out of the gate.
Eduardo López dealt the Mustangs a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Kansas City leading 2-0, López, who is tied for 4th in the TML in stolen bases with 7, hit a full count cutter for a 2-run single.
"They played a better game than we did," said Mile High skipper Dave Harris.
