Amarillo withstood an impressive performance by Albuquerque first baseman Neil Ruthman to defeat the Cacti, 10-7, at Horseman Field. Ruthman went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 4 RBI. Amarillo reliever Jae-bok Han was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Jim Unknown. The second-place Horseman have won 4 in a row.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 11th. With Amarillo trailing 7-6, Bob McCullough hit a fastball from Jim Unknown to right for a grand slam home run. Just like that, the Horseman had a walk-off win.

"Put a star next to this win," McCullough said.
