Hornets Continue Skid Thanks to Anderson, Grays
The Georgia Grays knocked off the Eureka Hornets, 9-3, at The Nest. Mike Anderson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Georgia won. The center fielder was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Wade White, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held the Hornets to 3 runs on 6 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The Grays, now 14-7, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Also making an impact was right fielder Mark Roberts, who drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning for the Grays. For the game, Roberts went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We take it day by day here," said Roberts, "and today was a good one for us."
