Hit Parade: Ekachakra Pops 5 Hits
|
Apupa Ekachakra had an answer for everything the South Bay Arsenal threw at him today at Cruz Bay Park. The Indian Wells center fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Aeropostales on top, 11-4.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Ekachakra said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Apupa Ekachakra doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Rubén Marino in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Ekachakra is hitting .257 for the season with 27 home runs, 87 RBIs and 84 runs scored. He has 101 hits in 393 at-bats and played in 111 games.
