Bombers Stumble, Lose to Armada
|
South Carolina second baseman Baber Davi had a terrific game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Quebec beat the Bombers, 9-4. Davi was named the player of the game despite the loss. Yohann Bosler earned the win for Quebec. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0. The Armada, now 14-7, have been playing some good baseball.
Tyan-yu Yang helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a grand slam home run to give Quebec a 4-0 lead.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Yang told the Quebec Times. "You win just by scoring more runs."
