Baristas Come Back Late to Top Banditos
|
Silver Lake beat Acapulco on the strength of starter Kaoru Kato's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. Dost Ghuman got the save, the 21st for him this season. With the win, Silver Lake has a record of 57-70. Acapulco falls to 59-68.
Tristan Patey's at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth was critical. The Silver Lake left fielder hit a run-scoring single, to put his team on top, 3-2. Runs were at a premium and this one was huge.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Kato told the Silver Lake Daily. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
