Sabercats Fall Short at Scranton
Scranton beat Mdewanketon at Hell Stadium, escaping with a 8-7 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Rubén Rivera, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 3 runs. The Escape move to 40-88 with the win, while the Sabercats drop to 57-71.

Kwan-yew Cong provided some late-game heroics for Scranton. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a first pitch fastball from Shi-fa Wong and propelled Scranton to a 8-7 lead.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rivera.
