Escape Suffer 6-2 Setback

The Scranton Escape and Mdewanketon Sabercats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Hell Stadium.
The exploits of right fielder Mark Rigden, who was drafted in the three round of the 2024 draft, helped the Mdewanketon Sabercats defeat the Scranton Escape, 6-2. Rigden went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. The Sabercats, at 57-70, sit in 5th place in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.
Roger Perry delivered a big hit for the Sabercats. The veteran second baseman belted a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. The longball put Mdewanketon on top, 4-0. Overall, Perry went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rigden. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
