Albuquerque beat Coronado at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Darren de Koning, who earned player of the game honors. Jesús Cruz closed the door for Albuquerque, picking up his 4th save of the year. With the win, the Cacti have a record of 60-64.

Albuquerque took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Woodrow Taggart stroked a 2-run double to make it 4-2, Cacti.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Taggart told the Albuquerque Gazette.
