Toreros Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at Field de Los Layendas, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 6-3. On the mound for Cabo San Lucas was right-hander Bruce Lowe, who played a pivotal role in the win. The save went to Mulia Kathirithamby, his 3rd this season. The Blazers fall to 8-13 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.
Eddy Carpentier delivered a big hit for the Toreros. The veteran first baseman belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The longball put Cabo San Lucas on top, 4-0. Overall, Carpentier went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Bruce was Bruce," said Cabo San Lucas Toreros manager José Núñez. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
