Stogies Lose to Mafia, 7-3
|
New York shortstop Derrek Anderson was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the Havana Stogies. Anderson, the 22 overall pick in the 2021 draft, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mafia. The Mafia raised their record to 2-1.
Also pitching in was New York first baseman Doug White, who hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, White was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said New York skipper Roberto Campos.
