Coronado Phantoms starter Naomi Kobayashi was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 5-4. The win was credited to Scott Roberts in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Wayne Penfield took the loss. The Phantoms' win now puts them at 60-59.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Jorge Castillo had a chance to end it. Indian Wells pitcher Wayne Penfield had other ideas. But with one out, Castillo hit a walk-off run-scoring double. The Phantoms had the win.

"Big win," said Castillo.
