Phantoms Walk Off with 5-4 Win
Coronado beat Indian Wells at Phantoms Field, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Salah bin Atif, who earned player of the game honors. Ajdir Kasakya got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Phantoms sit in 4th place in the Kade Stenson League Swinging Friar Division with a record of 59-59.

Coronado third baseman Andy Sabean said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the tenth. He did more than that -- Sabean hit a solo home run to stake Coronado to a 5-4 lead. His 10th home run of the season came off Indian Wells pitcher Shih-k'ai Mi.

"This place was rockin'," said Sabean.
