The Scranton Escape topped the Fairfield Flash by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Bryan Battle. Battle was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Escape on the day. Bobby Wilson, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 6-8. Even with the win, the Escape have a dismal 35-85 record.
Battle provided the big break for the Escape in the bottom of the third inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double, helping Scranton to get the win.
