Victory Pushes Cats Record to 76-44
|
Fort Worth pitcher Aidan Kenneil did his part in helping his team beat the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. William MacDougal, credited with the save, is now 7 for 9 in save opportunities. The first-place Cats, at 76-44, now lead their division by 3 games.
The Fort Worth triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Jorge Figueroa. In the top of the sixth, the Fort Worth second baseman hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 3-2 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Fort Worth manager José Parra. "It's usually not just one thing."
