Wranglers Drop Another One
Dedicated fans at Horseman Field weathered the storm to watch their beloved Horseman beat the Wranglers.

Amarillo center fielder Mitsukuni Ojima was instrumental in his team's 5-1 win over the Wichita Wranglers. Ojima went 3-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Horseman. Hirotada Hori got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Jackson Thompson finished the game for Amarillo and earned his 5th save.

Amarillo took a 5-1 lead on Hafiz Wattu's 14th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Wattu hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Wichita pitcher Jim Unknown shaking his head.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Claudio Rojas. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."

Wichita's current losing streak is now 5 games.
