Patey Excels, But Horseman Win
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Tristan Patey, the Silver Lake Baristas suffered a 10-8 loss to the Amarillo Horseman. Patey was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The second-place Horseman now have a win-loss record of 72-45.

In the top of the 6th, the Horseman grabbed the lead when Steve Wheeler rapped a two-out double. Amarillo was trailing 6-5, when Wheeler hit a bases-clearing double off John Deschamps to put his team in front, 8-6.

Wheeler told a Amarillo Daily reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
