Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Shi-fu Goei, the Wichita Wranglers defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 4-2. Goei was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Wranglers. Jason Williams was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Callum Butler earned his 12th save in 14 tries.
Goei provided the big break for the Wranglers in the top of the third inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single, helping Wichita to get the win.
