Baristas Rally For 3-1 Win
|
Fans who gathered at Albuquerque Sports Stadium saw a good contest between the Silver Lake Baristas and Albuquerque Cacti.
In a well-pitched game between the Silver Lake Baristas and the Albuquerque Cacti, pitcher Roberto Valentín was superb. The Silver Lake left-hander was named the player of the game in Silver Lake's 3-1 win. Jorge López earned the save for Silver Lake, his 2nd of the year.
The Baristas liked what they saw from Valentín. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Cacti to no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 7.
"A great game, a great day," said Valentín about the win. "I can't complain."
Silver Lake is now 50-63, Albuquerque 53-60.
