Benefiting from the performance of Andreas Ryan, the Acapulco Banditos defeated the Des Moines Spartans, 6-4. Ryan was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Banditos. The 'W' lifts Acapulco's record to 52-57.
Bill Wilcox, who is tied for 7th in the KSL in home runs with 22, helped out the Acapulco cause in the top of the first inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the center fielder was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Des Moines manager Clement Snow. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
