The inspired effort of Wichita third baseman Gonzalo Fernández was not enough to prevent a 6-2 loss to the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Fernández went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Frank Cronshaw notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. The Aeropostales move to 65-44 with the win, while the Wranglers drop to 43-66.
Apupa Ekachakra didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a solo home run to put Indian Wells on top, 1-0.
