Rodríguez Leads Cacti to Win over Escape
The Albuquerque Cacti turned back the Scranton Escape, 7-6, at Hell Stadium. Wilson Rodríguez was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Shu-yaan Qi picked up the win. His record improves to 4-2. Mei-shan Chin took the loss. Izumo Ikarashi finished the game for Albuquerque and earned his 7th save.

In the top of the 7th, pinch hitter Neil Ruthman gave Albuquerque the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cacti had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Scranton pitcher Mei-shan Chin changed that -- and Albuquerque went on to win.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Ruthman.

Albuquerque has now won 5 games in a row.
