Flash Pin 4-3 Loss on Spartans
|
The Fairfield Flash did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Des Moines Spartans at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Juan Ramírez, who captured player of the game honors. James Logan recorded the save for Fairfield, his 9th of the season. Fairfield leads the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division by 3 games.
Jorge Ramírez had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Flash. Coming up with the bases loaded and Fairfield trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.
"Both teams played hard," said Fairfield manager Gary Altman.
