The Silver Lake Baristas got a good effort from starter Kaoru Kato in defeating the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field. The final score was 6-1. Silver Lake now sits at 46-61, while Indian Wells falls to 64-44.
Also pitching for Silver Lake was shortstop Ichiyo Yano, who hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, Yano went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
