Escape Topple Phantoms with Late Rally
The Scranton Escape powered past the Coronado Phantoms, 9-8, at Hell Stadium. Kwan-yew Cong went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Scranton reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ajdir Kasakya shouldered the loss. The last-place Escape are now 31-72, the Phantoms 50-52.

Rubén Rivera was the walk-off hero for Scranton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Scranton shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Rivera told reporters after the game.
