Amarillo had no answer for Fairfield Flash hurler Saiyid Mashwanis, who overwhelmed Horseman hitters as the Flash coasted to a 8-1 victory. Fairfield is now 61-44.

With one out in the top of the fifth, Monte Irvin barreled up a forkball from Jim Phillips. The result was a grand slam home run, putting the Flash in front, 5-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Amarillo manager Okitsugu Azuma.
