The Silver Lake Baristas reigned over the Wichita Wranglers in damp conditions at Bulldog Stadium.
The Silver Lake Baristas beat the Wichita Wranglers, 9-3, at Bulldog Stadium. The Baristas got a fine performance from center fielder Masamune Fujimoto, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Silver Lake is now 44-57. Wichita is 40-62.
With a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the fourth inning, designated hitter Rick Banks delivered big for the Baristas. Silver Lake was leading 2-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Banks told a Silver Lake Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
