Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Arsenal
|
Amarillo second baseman António Villarreal had a good game, even if his team did not. The Horseman dropped a 5-4 decision to South Bay at Cruz Bay Park. Villarreal went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. South Bay reliever Rubén Marino was the winner. His record is now 5-2. The losing pitcher was Thomas Wright. With the victory, the Arsenal record now stands at 57-44.
Bhasin Maqbool was involved in some late-game drama. With two out in the bottom of the 11th, Maqbool hit a run-scoring single. It helped South Bay snatch the win.
"I get a nice buzz from a win like this one," said Maqbool.
