Codebreakers Stumble, Lose to Mafia
New York starter Oda Kudo pitched effectively against the Columbus Codebreakers at Don Corleone Park. The right-hander led his team to a 8-3 win. Yoson Matsushita closed the game out for New York, earning his 1st save. Losses have been rare for the Codebreakers, who are now 13-5.

The New York win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Allan Jackson. In the bottom of the first, the New York left fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Kudo. "Just do my job."
