Horseman Topple Chiefs as Sato Shines
|
The Champaign Chiefs were defeated, 8-3, by the Amarillo Horseman. Leading the charge for Amarillo was catcher Yasuhiko Sato. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The Horseman now have a record of 55-38.
Tak-hing Wang played a key role in the win for the Horseman. The left fielder punched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the game, Wang went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We're feeling pretty good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Sato told the Amarillo Daily.
