Victory Over Beavers Takes Oklahoma City to 12-6
|
The Oklahoma City Prowlers stymied the Portland Beavers, 5-2, at Waterfront Park. Yong-hong Zhu, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Oklahoma City. Tadaaki Tahara was credited with the save for Oklahoma City, his 1st of the season. The Prowlers, now 12-6, have been red hot.
Early in the game, Zhu had a 3-run home run for Oklahoma City. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Prowlers on top, 4-1.
Zhu attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
