|
The Fairfield Flash topped the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 8-1, with youngster Garin Renzenbrink playing a key role. Renzenbrink went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Flash in the win. The win was credited to Luis Miguel Toledo in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Mushanokoji Uchida took the loss. The Fairfield winning streak has now reached 5 games.
With Fairfield leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Renzenbrink hit a slider from Mushanokoji Uchida for a 2-run single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the Flash ahead, 4-1.
"I like the roll we're on," said Fairfield manager Gary Altman.
