Coronado left fielder René Legendre had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 10-1 win over the Des Moines Spartans. The Phantoms improve their record to 45-47 with the win over Des Moines.

With Coronado trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Phantoms fortunes got a boost when first baseman Susumu Yamamoto turned a 1-2 changeup from Esteban Martínez into his 18th home run of the season. The hit scored 3 and put Coronado up, 3-1.
