Spartans Lose to Phantoms in Walk Off
The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Des Moines Spartans at Phantoms Field. Nobody did more than right fielder Andy Sabean, who captured player of the game honors. Ajdir Kasakya, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Coronado is now 44-47, Des Moines 53-39.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Sabean hit a fastball from Damian Xian for a run-scoring single. The Phantoms, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Sabean described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
