Katsunan Sato never let the Cacti get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Chiefs to a 4-1 win. Champaign is now 39-49.

Tejal Chittibabu was a key contributor to the win for the Chiefs. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a double to center. He went 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

Sato called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
