The Scranton Escape trumped the Mdewanketon Sabercats, 9-8, at Mystic Lake Stadium. Scranton second baseman Jesús Ramos was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Even with the win, the Escape have a dismal 25-64 record.

Ramos had a game-changing single in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 fastball from Curtis Cahill, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Escape a 9-8 lead. It was the 32nd hit of the year for Ramos.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Ramos.
