Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Bob McCullough, the Amarillo Horseman defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 6-4. McCullough was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Horseman. Reliever Jackson Thompson picked up the win. His record improves to 6-3. Alberto Rivera took the loss. The third-place Horseman raised their record to 50-37.

McCullough contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Amarillo get the win.

"We all want to win," said McCullough. "We all want to do our part."
