Phantoms Get 4-2 Win Versus Albuquerque
|
The Coronado Phantoms stymied the Albuquerque Cacti, 4-2, at Phantoms Field. Susumu Yamamoto, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs for Coronado. Naomi Kobayashi, credited with the win, is now 9-7. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6.1 innings. Ajdir Kasakya recorded his 19th save for Coronado.
Coronado took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases empty, Andy Sabean hit a solo home run to make it 3-2, Phantoms.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Sabean told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
The 4th-place Cacti have lost 4 consecutive games.
