Big Day by Sharp Ignites Aeropostales Win
|
Indian Wells left fielder Shaun Sharp was instrumental in his team's 6-5 win over the Amarillo Horseman. Sharp, who is rated as the 52nd best prospect by BNN, went 3-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aeropostales. Joe Huff notched his 6th save in 7 chances. With the victory, the Aeropostales record now stands at 52-33.
Tetsui Takahashi, who is tied for 9th in the KSL in bases on balls with 49, helped out the Indian Wells cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a double.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Amarillo manager Okitsugu Azuma. "But we decided not to take it."
