Brooks 3-4, Leads Aeropostales to Win
|
The Indian Wells Aeropostales topped the Albuquerque Cacti by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman John Brooks. Brooks went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Aeropostales. Mushanokoji Uchida, credited with the win, is now 5-8. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. Joe Huff, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Brooks had a key at-bat for Indian Wells early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 5th double of the season and gave Indian Wells an early 3-0 lead.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Brooks told the Indian Wells Bulletin.
Indian Wells is now 51-33, Albuquerque 43-40.
