The Fairfield Flash picked up a win at Mystic Lake Stadium, knocking off the Mdewanketon Sabercats, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ramón Gómez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. James Logan converted his 4th save in 5 tries. The first-place Flash have won 4 consecutive games.

Manuel Delvalle had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Flash. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Fairfield trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run double.

"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Mdewanketon skipper Jerry Russell.
