The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field. Nobody did more than third baseman Andy Sabean, who captured player of the game honors. The winner was Naomi Kobayashi, who threw 101 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits. Coronado bumps their record to 39-41 with the win.

Coronado took the lead in the top of the fifth when Sabean hit a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season made the score 4-1, Coronado.
