The Amarillo Horseman defeated the Silver Lake Baristas, 8-6, in 12 innings. Aanand Selvam led the way, going 3-for-5 for Amarillo. Amarillo reliever José Gonzáles picked up the win to move to 1-2. John Deschamps suffered the loss. The Horseman, at 43-32, have now won 4 straight.

Amarillo second baseman Dave Nelson said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the 12th. He did more than that -- Nelson hit a 2-run home run to stake Amarillo to a 8-6 lead. His 2nd home run of the season came off Silver Lake pitcher John Deschamps.

Selvam said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
